- CLIENT
- Out client is a privately held company founded in 1991. The company
- has been profitable since its inception with sales nearly tripling in
- each of the past three years. At the end of 1995, the company
- employed more than 200 people. Their services are available worldwide
- with offices in Billerica and Westborough, MA, Trumbull, CT, Boulder,
- CO, Schaumburg, IL, and Phoenix, AZ. They offer a family of services:
- Application Maintenance Outsourcing, Insourcing and Custom Maintenance
- Services that includes the year 2000 enhancements. They target
- industries in which companies are managing large inventories of
- software, either for sale or for business support. This can be system
- software products or MIS applications and covers a wide spectrum of
- industries.

- REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
- This position reports to the Vice President, Research and Development.

- EDUCATION
- Bachelor's of Computer Science required. Masters in Computer Science
- preferred.

- REQUIREMENTS
- The qualified candidate will have eight (8) plus years of increasing
- responsibility with 3 years in a supervisory or first level management
- position prefered. The majority of the candidate's experience must be
- from a company developing or bringing an application or services to a
- user community. The candidate must have in-depth experience in UNIX
- development and C language, as well as, familiarity with a mainframe
- MIS environment. Excellent communication skills and an interest in
- leading and motivating teams are required.

- RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Project Leader will be the technical leader of a team of engineers
- developing proprietary tools and techniques for automating software
- code analysis. This person will be responsible for delivering tools
- that are designed to automate the process of detecting date fields
- that will be affected by the year 2000. The candidate must be able to
- provide leadership for self-directed teams with emphasis on meeting
- customer requirements with the quality delivery of software services.
- Occasional travel may be required to meet with clients.

- COMPENSATION
- Base salary of $50,000 to $80,000 depending on experience with an
- attractive bonus package based on team performance.
